On Tuesday, I'm off for a 2 week trip - east, for a change. Destination is D.C., to visit with USAFA classmates from my squadron, and to see museums and sights not seen in over 50 years. As usual, I'll take the scenic route - I plan to visit battlefields at Columbus KY, Fort Donelson, Columbia, Spring Hill, Franklin & Murfreesboro, TN. I'll also spend time in the Shenandoah Valley, around the 4 battlefields at and west of Fredericksburg, and the 2 battles at Manassas.
